Let the Nations be Glad

 What an amazing Sunday!


While in Zanzibar, Daniel and I collected several things to bring back to the states and sell; together we decided to use any profit to help send a friend from Zanzibar to our church planting school in Capetown. Our friend is a 25 year old man, born and raised on a Muslim island where it is illegal to be a Christian or own a bible. His father is a head leader in Islam and his mother teaches the Koran to children. While studying English, a few years back, he used a book titled "Holy Spirit" as his study guide only, at the time he didn't know that he was really reading the bible! While doing so, he came to fall in love with the man named Jesus he read about and ended up giving his life to him as the one true God. When we first met our new friend in Zanzibar, he was very excited because we were some of the very first Christians he had ever met! (his parents sent him there, away from their home to study English more). He asked to spend time with us everyday so that he could learn how other Christians live, in order to go back to his own people and show them who Jesus is too.
Our dear friend is an eager learner and follower of Christ and he is passionate about his people knowing and following Christ as well. We are thankful that the purchases we made for under $200 have raised  $1, 383 to help bring him into an environment where he is able study the Word of God freely, be discipled by other believers and learn to make disciples; without fear of persecution until in Faith he is able to go back to his people and show them the truth about God's love for them!
