to "put some shoes on so you don't get cut".

Picnics in obscure and beautiful places.
Mom is the woman,
the ever youthful
forever 35 with blondish swinging hair 
a smile for everyone 
friendly 
and professional looking in her office scrubs.
She is making the house a stage
for tiny toes
flashlight dancing 
an MTV music video set and a safe place
for teenage energy to shake it 
move it
feel the groove.
Mom is someone who reminds you never to be lacking in passion or in Zeal
to  believe that God is always good.
to fall 
but  to get back on your feet.
She is inviting me to try 
she is saying "you are able"
she is telling us we can do it
to "make good choices" 
she is believing we are someone special.
I love you mom and who you are in our lives.
