This morning started out with me kneeling on the carpet making a birthday sign for my Dad when I noticed the hem of my pants were damp. I didn't think much of it at first because we went for a walk this morning along a muddy path. However, when they went from damp to wet, I knew we had a problem. Our butter yellow carpet, was turning a darker, wetter shade of sunshine.Yes, our tree was leaking. It started out a simple enough problem. So we thought. First, we began removing gifts out from under the tree, then out went the wet carpet. Next, off came the broken stand, though not easily at all. Then, Daniel had to go to the store and buy a new stand of course. On went the new stand... yah right. After several trial and errors to straighten the **** tree, we concluded that the bottom branches must come off. One borrowed saw later, at the expense of several branches, our tree now stands thinner but straight and not leaking.
